Crafting Beer, Spirits, and a Stronger Community

A ‘brewstillery’ is exactly what it sounds like: a brewery and spirit distillery all under one roof (our Ducktown location). Copperhill Brewery brews well-loved craft beers while Ocoee River Distilling makes history with bottled spirits, the only distributor in the area.

Since 2018, we’ve been committed to brewing beers that reflect both our passion for the craft and the unique spirit of our community; from our flagships to favorite seasonals, you can always count on finding something that hits the spot year-round.

We pour everything from hop-forward IPAs that’ll wake up your taste buds
to smooth, rich stouts perfect for those cooler mountain evenings. Our pale ales strike that perfect balance of flavor and drinkability and our seasonal offerings let us get creative with local ingredients and flavors that capture the essence
of our beloved mountain town.

Every batch is brewed with care, using quality ingredients and time-tested techniques.
We’re not trying to reinvent the wheel – we’re just trying to make it roll a little smoother and taste as refreshing as the mountain air. So whether you’re a local who stops by after work or a visitor exploring the mountains, we want every sip to feel like home.

Recently named #15 in the Top Breweries in Tennessee by TripAdvisor,
we take pride in our location and local community as well as quality craft brews. At the end of the day, we’re here to bring people together over great beer. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, catching up with friends, or just wanting to try something new, we believe good beer makes every moment a little better. We’re proud to be part of the Copperhill and Ducktown communities, and we love sharing our passion for craft brewing with anyone who walks through our doors.

Over the past two years, our operation has grown, both in brews and in products:

Drink Your Way Through History

In Polk County Tennessee between the towns of Ducktown and Copperhill, copper was mined from the late 1800s to 1987, an area known as The Copper Basin.

Through environmental efforts, the land has rejuvenated, as well as businesses and the community, and we proudly pay homage to those who worked the mines through our craft.

From one of the top whitewater rivers in the country to a unique community history, we proudly pull inspiration from home.

And there’s no shortage of inspiration for craft beer names in the Copper Basin.

The Ocoee River is one of the top destinations for whitewater rafting the country (often tied with the Colorado River), and it draws thousands of adventurers every year, including the 1996 Summer Olympics Whitewater Kayak & Canoe Slalom Events. Running through the Cherokee National Forest and between the Great Smokey Mountains and Blue Ridge Mountains, we’re emersed every day in nature and history, always eager to share our love for both with locals and visitors.

Like most craft breweries, we have fun with names and labels, like our top-seller and lightest brew, Ducktown Ultra named after Ducktown, TN, the Ocoee American IPA named after our favorite river, and Broken Nose West Coast Pale Ale named after one of the whitewater rapids.

When you visit Copperhill Brewery, your craft brew comes with a story,
one we’re eager to share again and again.
